Sweat It Out
What's mine is mine if I can keep it
What's yours is mine if I can take it
I look into your eyes to read your thought
Do you have a gun that you brought
We go to church where we learn to give
And hopefully other good ways to live
Because we want to build a trust
Which for the world to have peace is a must
Not all appreciate the words of God
But speak against them very loud
The result of which is not the ideal
But for the godless have great appeal
It means they justify havoc they create
As the good in themselves they deflate
For the purpose of sin filled gain
While others of righteousness feel the pain
And that's the way it's done you see
When I steal from you or you from me
Whether it be a dignity or a life
It stabs deeper than a knife
It goes into the heart and cuts it out
It goes into the mind and pulls out doubt
It goes into the soul and makes it search
Why for hell do we fail church
